June 8, 2009. Internet Censorship

Entrance to the Park Where I Exercise

I went to bed early last night and woke up around 06:00 this morning. It had cooled off a bit. It was comfortable. I had a good sound sleep. I got up, made coffee, and turned on my computer to look at the news. The Drudge Report, MSNBC, Huffington Post, The Daily Kos, and Breitbart would not come up. Then I checked the places I knew were already blocked, and they were still unavailable. So had the internet blockage been increased, or is my server just having a bad morning? I’ll find out after work.

The day began a little cloudy. The temperature was very warm, but not uncomfortable. When the sun came out it became very hot. I had my last Wal-Mart almond cookie with my coffee. It was quite stale.

I glanced at the newspaper in the library on my way home. I mainly looked for anything about the internet interference. Of course, there was nothing. I walked home, taking a handful of pics on the way.

Once home, the first thing I did was try the internet. Still blocked. Then I went to a few news sits that had been available to see what was

going on in the world. Nothing earth shaking, thank god. Some of the news sites I had been unable to access this morning were now working. I guess it was my server’s fault this morning.

Suddenly I got a flood of email. Had the block been lifted? I checked everything and all worked. Quickly I downloaded my unpublished blogs from the past few days. I don’t know if this is temporary or if the censorship is over for good.

Now I am off to dinner and the park. I will download this blog before I go, just in case.
