Living in China. July 6-9, 2010.

Thankfully it was a little cloudy this morning, though it is still predicted to get to 35 (about 100). The next few days were hot and sunny. Still I got out and explored every day.

On Tuesday I forgot about chess club and didn’t go. But after walking around in the heat, I wasn’t in the mood to play anyway.

Went to my Chinese bank to make sure my UnionPay card still worked, my account still active, and the balance undisturbed. Everything was OK. My Chinese bank’s name is China Everbright Bank. It’s about 5 blocks from my house.

Am planning a trip to Vietnam soon. Sea and Vivian expressed an interest in accompanying me again. They were mostly fun when we went to Malaysia, so I said OK.

This is the SinoPet building. I use it as a landmark at night. It’s not very tall, but is very well lighted and easy to find at night.

I have been thinking of trying to get a job driving a blue truck. I feel I am more than qualified.
