Living in China. July 21, 2010.

I thought the weather called for rain today, but it was slightly cloudy and hot when I got up.

About 10:00 I accompanied Sea to the Traditional Chinese Medicine hospital. It only took her about an hour to check in, see a doctor, and collect a large bag of traditional medicines. The only cost was 61 Yuan (about $9.00 USD) for the medicines.

Sea’s doctor was on the 8th floor. The doctor was an older woman. There were 2-3 people ahead of her, but she just walked in to the office and everyone stood around waiting their turn. Finally it was her turn to talk to the doctor. The consultation took maybe 10 minutes. She walked out with some prescriptions which she had filled at the hospital pharmacy on the second floor. Here are some views from the window in the waiting room.

We stopped at the market and the bakery on the way home.

It began raining and it continued the rest of the day. The paper said another tropical storm was headed our way and we can expect rain for the next 2-3 days. I didn’t go out again except for an early dinner.
