A typhoon moved in last night. It hit slightly south of Shenzhen, but we’re supposed to be in for 1.5-2 days of bad weather. I’m glad I was able to get out a couple of days before today.
They continue taking that poor baby to the hospital for a daily drip. Yesterday I bought her a tiny cup of ice cream, but found out they don’t feed babies anything but milk here for the first 2-3 years. Yesterday the shunt was out of her head, but I’m not sure if it’s because she’s through, or if they just need to put a new one in every few days. She never has seemed sick to me.
They have the fake baby food available, like Similac, but there is a scandal about some brand or another every few months, so most avoid it if possible.
I plan to do some writing today. Having my last 2 pieces disappear with no explanation made me feel discouraged, but I’ve got a couple of ideas and with the weather as it is, I certainly have the time to work on them.
