Living in China. August 18, 2010.

I think the rain has finally ended. It was cloudy this morning and got more sunny as the day progressed. By 16:00 it was bright and sunny with a deep blue sky.

Had my teeth cleaned. It cost less than $12.00.

After being stuck inside for several days, I spent most of the afternoon wandering around the neighborhood. Explored a few alleys that I hadn’t been through before.

Found one Z shaped alley that was about 3 short blocks long that was almost nothing but Chinese domino parlors. The tables were set up in the alley and in the little parlors. I assume the owners rented the tables and dominoes to the players. Found another alley that was mostly pool parlors.

About 19:00 I went back out to walk in the park. Ran into Jane and her son. It was the first time I’ve seen them since I’ve been back. Talked a few minutes, then went to the night market and bought grapes.
